Md. Ziaur Rahman (b. 1987, Chandpur District, Matlob North) is a Bangladeshi artist celebrated for his vibrant and expressive depictions of motion and nature. Based in Narayanganj, Rahman draws inspiration from the dynamic interplay of objects and animals in motion, using them as metaphors for strength, vitality, and resilience.He has become a prominent figure in the Bangladeshi art scene through his active participation in exhibitions, workshops, and art camps both at home and abroad. His works are particularly recognized for their bold use of red and black, evoking intense emotion and visual energy.Rahman’s first solo exhibition Nirobodhi (2009) introduced his early explorations of form and color, while his most recent solo show Inner Speed (2024) at La Galerie, Alliance Française de Dhaka, delved into the theme of speed as a metaphor for life’s dynamism.His paintings are part of esteemed collections including Bangladesh Bank, Gloria Foundation (Japan), and several private collections in the USA, Dubai, Germany, Italy, and India. Currently, he works as a freelance artist and art organizer from his studio in Narayanganj.
