Kalidas Karmakar (January 10, 1946 – October 18, 2019) was a Bangladeshi artist of international repute, celebrated for his pioneering work in printmaking, mixed media, and conceptual art. Among his most prestigious honors are the Ekushey Padak (2018), the second-highest civilian award in Bangladesh; the Shilpakala Padak (2016) from the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy; the Sultan Gold Award (2015); and the Kibria Lifetime Achievement Award (2018).
