DHAKA CHRONICLES: CARTOONS OF A CITY IN MOTION
Dhaka Chronicles brings the city to life through the sharp wit and playful lines of Bangladesh’s leading cartoonists. Curated and presented by Plat-forms in collaboration with Cartoon People, the exhibition reflects our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful connections between art, audience, and everyday life. Featuring works by Ahsan Habib, Arafat Karim, Biplob Chakroborty, Khalil Rahman, Mahatab Rashid, Rashad Imam Tanmoy, and Reesham Shahab Tirtho, the show celebrates the unique power of cartoons as both social commentary and artistic expression.
From the chaos of traffic to the humor of everyday encounters, each cartoon captures fragments of Dhaka’s stories sometimes satirical, sometimes heartfelt, but always deeply connected to the pulse of the city. Together, these works form a lively portrait of urban life, inviting viewers to laugh, reflect, and rediscover Dhaka—an experience that lies at the heart of Plat-forms’ mission to make art accessible and engaging for all.
